When I decided to turn my domain investing activity into a real company in France, I used Legalstart to create Pavel Domains.
This is not a review of everything Legalstart offers. It is simply a short timeline of my own experience.
July 2026 — Creating Pavel Domains
I used Legalstart to prepare and submit the documents for the creation of my company.
The structure I chose was a SASU — Société par Actions Simplifiée Unipersonnelle.
Company name: Pavel Domains
Commercial name: pavel.domains
Registered office: Paris, France
Activity: domain names, digital content and related services.
For someone creating a French company for the first time, there are a surprising number of small administrative decisions to make.
Legal form.
Company purpose.
Share capital.
Registered office.
Tax options.
Bank account.
Accounting.
And, of course, documents.
I was learning most of this while doing it.
23 July 2026 — Pavel Domains officially exists
On 23 July 2026, I received the Kbis for Pavel Domains.
That was probably the most important moment in the process.
Until then, Pavel Domains was essentially an idea, a domain name and a project.
After the registration, it became a French company.
Pavel Domains SASU was officially born.
After incorporation
Creating a company is only the beginning.
After receiving the Kbis, there were still plenty of things to understand and organize:
- the professional bank account;
- accounting;
- VAT and tax administration;
- the professional space on impots.gouv.fr;
- company expenses;
- shareholder advances;
- invoices;
- annual accounts;
- CFE;
- and all the small administrative details that suddenly become part of running a company.
I continued using the Legalstart ecosystem after incorporation, including its administrative and accounting services.
My experience so far
So far, my experience with Legalstart has mainly been valuable for one reason:
it gave me a structured path through something I had never done before.
It did not remove the need to understand how a French company works.
I still have questions.
A lot of them.
And I still check things myself.
But instead of starting with a completely blank page, I had a process to follow.
For a first company, that matters.
This article is therefore not my final review of Legalstart.
It is the beginning of the timeline.
I will update it as my experience with Pavel Domains and with French company administration continues.
