One of the people I was very happy to meet at NDDCamp Paris 2026 was Igor Motsnyi, founder of Motsnyi Legal and a specialist in intellectual property, trademarks and domain-name disputes. He also works as a UDRP panelist, which gives him an unusually broad view of the domain industry.
What I particularly appreciate about Igor’s work is that he understands an important distinction: domain investing is not the same thing as cybersquatting.
In several domain disputes, he has represented domain owners and investors, including cases where panels accepted that buying valuable, generic or brandable domain names can be a perfectly legitimate business activity.
